We welcome you to the Gites at La Richardière.
When we first visited La Richardière we instantly fell in love with the beauty of the buildings and the tranquillity of the surrounding countryside. Before moving to France we had visited the area regularly over a number of years and found it both a fascinating and relaxing place to be. As well as offering much for visitors, both regular and occasional, there is a vibrant community around the region and a plethora of local events celebrating food, wine, folklore and tradition to enjoy and participate in. Our lives in England were very different from the life we now lead in France. Patience was a stay at home mum and Dave was a Primary School Headteacher. When Dave retired, at the end of December 2014 we moved to France and have thoroughly enjoyed preparing the traditional and characteristic French cottages at La Richardière for our guests. |

Avant de prendre notre retraite et de déménager en France, Patience était formateur en entreprise et Dave, directeur d’une école primaire. Nous participons tous les deux à de nombreuses activités locales et espérons pouvoir vous aider, ainsi que votre famille, à profiter de cette région de la France.

Bevor wir in Rente gingen und nach Frankreich zogen, war Patience ein Business-Trainer und Dave war eine Grundschullehrerin. Wir nehmen beide an vielen lokalen Aktivitäten teil und freuen uns darauf, Ihnen und Ihrer Familie zu helfen, diese Region Frankreichs zu genießen. |

We have found the French people extremely welcoming and this has enabled us to carry on with our interests. Dave is a practising musician and accomplished at playing traditional Fiddle music from England, Scotland, Ireland and the USA and Patience sings in the local Choir and is developing her creative skills in the local pottery. We have also developed a close connection with the local Primary School where we teach English on a Friday afternoon.

He is a great favourite with our guests and he particularly enjoys playing with our younger visitors.

Wij heten u welkom in onze Gites hier in La Richardière.
Voordat we met pensioen gingen en naar Frankrijk verhuisden, was Patience een business trainer en Dave was een lagere school, hoofdonderwijzer. We nemen allebei deel aan vele lokale activiteiten en kijken er naar uit om u en uw familie te helpen genieten van dit deel van Frankrijk.
